Penguins? Why Penguins? ;)
I was at Charge Up '09 conference in Penang 2 weeks ago.
We were there to share basically on things for the audio stream. To share our experiences with church and live music mixing and mixers.. Very technie and geeky stuff. well not Geeky.. but good stuff..
Came the 2nd day (Friday) with the message shared by Pastor Victor.
Pastor Victor and I don't have any history, I have heard of him and heard him preach once. And he's never met me before.

After the message he asked us all to stand up and he wanted to pray for us.. As he was praying, he felt compelled to pray for certain people, Choon Ean, Poh Sim.. then me, then Joe..
This was what he said when he prayed for me..
Pr Vic: Paul, I see you in the future being involved in something not media related
Paul (inside voice): HUH? Apa ni? I came for a media conference and to share with people
Pr Vic: I see you being involved with leading and mentoring children. Children will begin to follow after you and learn from you the things God has put into your heart
Paul : *Sobbing*
Pr Vic: I see that you developing a tender heart, a father's heart to teach and to lead them.
Paul : *Sob some more*
Pr Vic : I see a picture of a ... *pause* .. Bear... a bear teaching it's cubs and it's cubs are following the bear and the cubs learn from it and follow him
Paul : *Continue sobbing*
This could've only come from God.. God can only reveal to Pr Vic, what Em and I have been doing in and through Vineyard.
So.. it has been a confirmation for me now that it is definitely what God wants for Em and I to do in this season and for a lifetime I believe.
All this while... God's been confirming and speaking to Em about our child learning centre. Because it can be none other than God revealing this timely word thru Pr Vic. Thank God for him.
Anyways.. the title of the blog says.. Penguins!
Let me explain.. I later went to share with Pr Vic about what he had just done for/to me. And shared what we were doing at Vineyard.
He confessed
"Actually, I want to tell you .. I didn't see a bear.. I actually saw penguins, and there was this main penguin, leading a bunch of smaller penguins and taking care of them. I couldn't share penguins to everyone, because I thought they'd laugh and lose concentration and the whole message.. so I had to make it up as I went along"
And hence.. that's why penguins..
Later on when I shared this story with Chris Leow, he gave me another revelation, that it is the Male Penguin that incubates and nurtures the baby penguin in the cold harsh winters. And this brought back memories of the movie I watched "March of the Penguins"
So I come now.. at this juncture in my lift and have received direction. It is a big step to take.. and I know my God is with me.. I will take it .. VERY SOON! He has not said when.. but the direction is clear. Indeed Praise God! Praise God!
