The Trials, Victories & Adventures of Los PaulOS

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. ~ 1 John 4:18

Funny Story : Heard in a sermon

This story was related in a sermon by Ps Wayne Cordiero..

I once heard of 2 neighbors and one had a rabbit and the other had a dog. And the dog was constantly barking at the rabbit and the neighbor who owned the rabbit kept calling and asking that the dog be put away. The neighbor with the rabbit even called the dog pound to have the dog be put away for causing a nuisance in the society.

Then the neighbor with the dog got frustrated and one day just prayed. "God I am so tired of this neighbor could you please do something, cause her to die or move away or something".

Then one day her dog went missing and she was worried and she went looking for her dog and as she looked for her dog, to her horror the dog suddenly turned up with the rabbit in it's mouth all dirty and bloody. Then she was horrified and said "Oh God, what did I pray for?"

She quickly attempted to rectify the situation as if nothing happened, and she got the rabbit from the dog, washed it, shampoo-ed it, blow dried it and took it back to the the neighbor's yard and propped it up (because rigor mortise was already settling in) and quickly went back to her home hoping that the neighbor wouldn't realise what had happened.

2 hours later, she heard a blood curling scream from the neighbor's house, and she rushed over acting surprised and concerned, "What happened to you?" she asked.. The neighbor replied....

"Oh my God, our rabbit died yesterday and we buried it, but now it has returned from the dead!!"

    lolsss =)

    i can totally relate to 'praying for the wrong things'... haih.. especially when I'm so stubborn wanting it to happen so much that i keep pestering God for it, only to realise i don't want it once God answered my prayers.

    Several times, I forgot to let God lead, and want Him to do things my way instead. A habit hard to control >.<
